Freedom Benefits is ramping up internal capabilities for the start of health insurance open environment season on Monday November 1. Unlike other services like the Healthcare.gov exchange staff or navigators, we are able to help consumers consider health care questions in the larger context of personal and business financial planning.
This year we offer support via online chat, toll-free telephone and email. The online chat service offers automatic translation service so that we can offer help to any American regardless of their native language.
We already know that this will be a tougher season for consumers with price increases averaging 10% and the least expensive options being pulled out of the market. For those who do not buy required coverage, the tax penalty could be twice the amount as last year.
