The following is the list of the largest health insurance companies based on the number of people they reported to state insurance regulators as having enrolled in 2013. The data is reported by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC.org). Note that this listing does not include only providers of primary health insurance, but also supplemental coverage and even supplemental insurance support services.
